Mommy & Me Class Descriptions
Mom and Little Artist Me- Children ages 2 - 5 participate with their parents in a fun, messy, expressive,
and creative environment. Enjoy foamy, sparkly, colorful, and wet mediums while stimulating the child's kinesthetic
experience. This class is excellent for children who don't mind being messy, and love to explore. Please dress
your child appropriately.
Mom and Little Me- Children ages 18 months - 4 participate with their parents in self-directed
activities and centers similar to that in a preschool environment. This class is recommended for children who are still
learning to interact with peers, enjoy exploring on their own rather than follow a teacher directed activity, and for children
still learning concepts such as sharing, waiting, and taking turns.
Mom and Little Preschool Me - Children ages 3 - 5 participate with their parents in
a mini-preschool class. Share circle time, songs, stories, activities and exploration. Excellent for the child
who is able to sit for more than 5 minutes, enjoys participating with a group, and able to follow simple directions.
WHY
PLAY IS IMPORTANT?
Play influences the physical, mental, social, psychological, emotional and linguistic developments
of the child. Young children learn from play. They learn everything they need to know to function in the world. Their
play is quite purposeful. It is not as random as it may seem to appear.
